Shonna joined Voya Investment Management in September of 2000 as a Senior Derivative accountant. In her role, Shonna was responsible for the periodic review of derivative transactions, reconciliations, valuations, and financial reporting. In 2006 Shonna joined the Business Operations Group as Derivative Middle Office Manager, where she was responsible for the oversight of trade processing, Derivatives confirmations, KYC documentation, end of day processing and valuation.  She managed a strong team who delivered value added services to the firm such as project management, technological improvements and key process enhancements while supporting the firm’s strategic initiatives. Over the years, Shonna has been promoted several times and has expanded her role and responsibilities to include Portfolio Cash Management, Separate Managed Accounts, and Client on-boarding.  As SVP of Business Support and Operations her myriad of teams are responsible for Fixed Income and Derivatives Middle office services, including trade capture, reconciliations, confirmations, collateral management, and valuation. She strongly supports the firm’s accounting team, portfolio management team and front office in implementation of new processes, new initiatives, and the overall client experience.


Before joining Voya Investment Management, Shonna was an Accounting Manager in the corporate office of Athlete Foot Group, Kennesaw, GA where she was responsible for overseeing earnings analysis and financial statement preparations for the Board of Directors.   


Shonna studied at Keller Business School of Management, and she holds a BA Degree from Shorter College with a concentration in accounting.  In October of 2017 Shonna successfully passed the CFA Investment Foundation Exam.
