Welcome Vanessa!
Vanessa is a Director and Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America, where she is a key adviser to their Strategic Equity desk.
She is an experienced derivatives and structured finance lawyer, having previously served as a Senior Counsel and one of the founding members of the Derivatives & Structured Products group at Travers Smith.
Vanessa is qualified to practice law in England and Wales, New York and Brazil.
During her time at TS she advised a wide range of institutions on derivatives, repos, stock lending and custody and collateral arrangements.
Her expertise and insights have also been featured in industry forums, including panel discussions hosted by ISDA.
Vanessa’s leadership and contributions to the financial sector have been recognised through her appointment to the 2022 ISDA Future Leaders in Derivatives Programme and the 2021 WIFM Rising Stars Program. She is passionate about advancing women’s representation in finance and law, and she continues to mentor and support emerging talent in the industry.
