WIFM Scholarships
The WIFM Scholarship Program is dedicated to fostering the next generation of leaders in the financial markets, by supporting enterprising high school girls from underserved backgrounds. WIFM is committed to encouraging young people to pursue careers in the financial services industry, providing them with educational resources and financial assistance to help them achieve their goals. This scholarship initiative reflects WIFM’s mission to create opportunities for future leaders and promote diversity within the industry.

Cassandra Seier Scholarship
In memory of Cassandra Seier, former President and CEO of WIFM, we are proud to offer one special scholarship in the amount of $2,500 in recognition of her extraordinary impact on our community and her enduring commitment to advancing women across the financial services industry. While WIFM scholarships are typically awarded at $1,000, this enhanced scholarship reflects the profound influence Cassandra had on so many throughout her career and life. A passionate advocate, mentor, and leader, Cassandra believed deeply in creating opportunities for others and investing in the next generation of talent. Through this scholarship, her legacy of generosity, leadership, and advocacy will continue to inspire and support future leaders for years to come.
Eligibility
The applicant must:
- Be a 12th grade student
- Be from an underserved environment
Requirements
The applicant must submit:
- An application
- A high school transcript
- A teacher/guidance counselor letter of recommendation
- Essay: Please describe in 500-1000 words what career you are interested in and the personal traits necessary to overcome potential obstacles that you may face in your career journey. Please explain why you chose those traits.
- Please be advised that applications will not advance to the next stage if the essay does not respond to the question as written.
Prize
Winner(s) will receive a prize of $1,000 towards their tuition which will be in the form of a check made payable directly to the accredited post-secondary institution of higher education located within the United States attended by student applicant.
Application Deadline
Applications will close on October 1, 2026.
All applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and decisions will be made in early December.
