WIFM Leadership Cohort Program

What is the WIFM Leadership Cohort Program?

The WIFM Leadership Cohort programming is offered as part of sponsorship. Partnering with renown executive coaches and board members, these one-year programs provide professional development and networking for women at every career stage. We also offer a program to guide male allies on how to help women in their organizations further their careers.

Feedback on these programs has been overwhelmingly positive, with many participants highlighting how the relationships formed within these cohorts last well beyond the program itself—demonstrating the “Power of Connection” in action.

In 2024, 115+ members participated in the program.

Emerge

This cohort is designed for women in the early stages of their financial careers (typically up to 6 years of experience) who have been recognized by supervisors and senior colleagues for their outstanding potential. These emerging professionals are seen as future leaders, demonstrating early promise in their capabilities and drive for excellence.

Trailblazers

This cohort celebrates women with over 15 years of experience who have achieved substantial leadership roles in the financial industry. They are recognized for both their professional success and their contributions to advancing women in finance through mentorship, advocacy, or spearheading diversity initiatives. Their impact extends beyond their own careers to the broader financial community.

Rising Stars

Targeting women with approximately 7-15 years of experience, this cohort includes those already showcasing leadership skills, whether by leading teams or being on the cusp of doing so. They are recognized among peers for their accomplishments and are poised for significant career progression.

Male Ally

This cohort includes men who are successful in their own careers and use their influence, network, and time to sponsor high potential women in their organizations. The Male Ally is partnered with a WIFM Board Member for council on how to advocate for more women representation at senior levels by challenging stereotypes, confronting biases, and leveraging his expertise and seniority to connect, elevate, and advance women leaders in the financial industry.

“The WIFM Trailblazers Program was a transformative experience for me. It not only enhanced my confidence but also opened doors to an incredible network of inspiring women across the financial services industry. The connections I’ve made have been invaluable in providing support and insights that are helping me accelerate my career. I call it WIFM sisterhood.”
