Marketing & Events Manager
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
WIFM is seeking a highly organized, proactive, driven and agile individual as a Marketing & Events Manager to serve as a key member of our small, high-impact team. This role is responsible for the execution of member events, marketing communications, community engagement, CRM administration, leadership program support, and committee coordination.
The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and is passionate about creating exceptional member experiences. This role will involve working closely with leaders and senior executives across different committees and time zones. While day-to-day operations are remote, the coordinator is expected to attend key in-person events and meetings in the NYC area. Travel is estimated to be less than 10%.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management & Execution
- Manage the end-to-end execution of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events across the U.S. and Europe/U.K.
- Create event marketing materials, including invitations, banners, presentations, webpages, and promotional content
- Set up and manage events within CRM and event platforms
- Build registration forms and attendee segments
- Execute invitation and reminder email campaigns
- Manage registrations, cancellations, waitlists, and attendance tracking
- Coordinate speakers, venues, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers
- Support on-site logistics, including attendee check-in, name badges, event materials, and vendor management
- Manage post-event communications, surveys, and follow-up materials
- Track and report event engagement metrics
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Publish and manage LinkedIn content
- Write promotional copy, event communications, and member announcements
- Create branded visual content using Canva and other design tools
- Monitor and engage with WIFM’s online community
- Support newsletter and digital communication initiatives
- Maintain consistent branding across communications
Program Support
- Support WIFM leadership development programs
- Manage virtual session logistics and attendance tracking
- Coordinate participant communications
- Facilitate coaching and mentoring matches
- Maintain program records and reporting
Membership & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate membership and CRM records
- Manage data tagging, segmentation, and database hygiene
- Build targeted outreach lists and member reports
- Monitor membership trends and growth metrics
- Process membership updates and refunds
- Support membership tier configuration and CRM administration
- Assist with member retention and engagement initiatives
Committee & Volunteer Coordination
- Support Board committees and volunteer working groups
- Prepare agendas, presentations, and meeting materials
- Track action items and follow-up activities
- Support the EU/UK Committee and related initiatives
- Coordinate volunteer communications across multiple stakeholder groups and time zones
Website & Digital Platform Management
- Create and update website pages and event registration pages
- Maintain organizational content and resources
- Manage WIFM Connect job board postings and approvals
- Support website enhancements, rebranding initiatives, and other digital projects
Organizational Support
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives
- Assist leadership with operational and administrative needs as required
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5 years of experience in event management, marketing, membership organizations, nonprofit operations, or community engagement
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Confidence interacting with senior executives, sponsors, volunteers, and members
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- CRM and email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Eventbrite, EveryAction, Splash, or similar)
- Canva or similar design tools
- WordPress or website content management systems
- Zoom and virtual event platforms
- LinkedIn and other social media platforms
Preferred
- Experience working with professional associations, nonprofits, or membership organizations
- Experience supporting virtual and hybrid events
- Familiarity with CRM reporting and audience segmentation
- Interest in professional development, leadership, and financial services
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: This is a full‑time, exempt position with an annual salary range of $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
