Anne Nisenson (Mathias), CFA has thirty years of experience in global capital markets as an investor and analyst.  She spent the last decade as the chief strategist for asset managers Vanguard and Guggenheim Partners.  For Vanguard, she was a senior member of the Fixed Income Group, where she sat on the active fixed income investment committee and was responsible for making longer-term strategic investments in sovereign bonds, currencies, and related securities across Vanguard’s active fixed income funds, as well as advising on asset allocation, global interest rates, and currencies.  

At Guggenheim Partners, Anne was the senior Macro Strategist.  She created and co-chaired the firm’s international sovereign bond investment committee and led the firm’s economic research team. 

Earlier in her career she spent 10 years on the sell side at the Washington Research Group team (now part of Cowen) which provides political, economic, and industry research for institutional investors and has been consistently ranked among the top three in the Institutional Investor “All-America Research Team” poll.  
She started her finance career in emerging markets private equity at the Global Environment Fund.  Anne has a B.A. from the University of Maryland (cum laude, phi beta kappa) and an M.S. in international affairs (with honors) from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She is a CFA® charterholder.
