Bari Trontz is the head of global marketing and external communications at MUFG Investor Services, a division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc (MUFG), one of the largest banks in the world with $3.3 trillion in assets. She is responsible for building overall brand equity, reputation management, and impacting the revenue pipeline. Bari oversees a team of global marketing and communications experts and agencies responsible for raising visibility and generating sales interest in the company’s brand, solutions, and intellectual capital. She spearheads corporate and product marketing, demand generation, public relations, executive communications, proprietary and industry events, and is passionate about talent management and organizational leadership.
Prior to MUFG Investor Services, Bari served in various senior leadership positions at DTCC for over 12 years, most recently as Executive Director of Marketing & Communications, where she was instrumental to the growth of DTCC solutions businesses – including Repository & Derivatives Services. During her earlier years at DTCC, she oversaw marketing for clearing, settlement, and asset services, and drove thought leadership programs that advanced DTCC-led industry initiatives, including the move to T+2 in the U.S. She was also responsible for external and internal communications programs for multiple acquisitions (Omgeo, Avox); divestitures(MarkitSERV, LoanSERV, New York Portfolio Clearing); and oversaw marketing for joint ventures (DTCC Euroclear GlobalCollateral, Soltra, and Clarient Global).
Bari began her career at Deutsche Asset Management and the American Stock Exchange in various corporate communications and media relations roles and is an active advocate of gender equality in the workplace.
