Amy Gasca is a senior energy executive, educator, and industry thought leader with over 30 years of experience across global commodities markets, including crude oil, power, natural gas, and energy transition. She currently leads the commercial business development unit at S&P Global Energy supporting utilities (power and natural gas), developers and other market participants within the sector, with a strong focus on pricing, market intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
Amy has held executive leadership roles overseeing multi-million-dollar P&Ls, building trading and retail energy businesses from the ground up, and expanding operations across U.S. and international markets. Her expertise spans commodities trading, risk management, ESG integration, and market design across North America and international Power markets. In addition to her corporate leadership, Amy serves as an S&P Global Internal Expert Instructor and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston’s Bauer School of Business, where she teaches executive MBA courses on power markets and energy solutions. She is also an author and active advisor to industry boards and organizations focused on energy innovation and sustainability.
