Eunice Zhu is an award-winning derivatives specialist and trader with over 15 years of expertise in counterparty risk management and XVA trading. As Director and Head of XVA Trading Europe & Americas at HSBC Global Markets, she oversees the trading and risk management of derivatives counterparty risk portfolios across multiple asset classes, providing strategic insights into XVA risk optimization and regulatory frameworks. Previously, Eunice served as Head of XVA Trading EMEA at SMBC Nikko Capital Markets, where she spearheaded the transformation of the XVA desk, driving operational efficiency and delivering consistent trading profits.

A passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, Eunice has held leadership roles in several organizations. She founded and led the Lean In – Women in Banking & Finance circle, developing impactful programs for women in finance. She is also actively involved in initiatives such as the Young Women into Finance scholarship program and serves as Honorary Vice Chair of the Ekaya Housing Association, supporting BME women and children in need.

Eunice holds an MSc in Finance & Economics (Distinction) from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Econometrics from SUFE. A CFA charterholder and CQF certificate holder, she is a recognized thought leader in financial risks and XVA. Her accolades include Rising Star Award Winner in Banking & Capital Markets, HERoes Top 100 Future Female Leader, and the UKCWC Chinese Woman of the Year Role Model.
