Katie Oliverio is a Vice President and Director of Risk for the Responsible Investing team. She is responsible for delivering a risk-based control framework which will support the firm’s strategic responsibility initiatives and response to the evolving ESG client and regulatory environments, contribute to developing and enhancing policies related to ESG risks and controls, and ensuring there is an effect process for identifying ESG risks, issues or incidents, and incorporating this into AB’s operational risk framework with specific focus on automation. Previously, Oliverio managed AB’s Derivatives Legal team, which is responsible for counterparty onboarding for AB derivatives users globally, negotiating derivatives, prime brokerage, and repo documentation, and tracking global regulatory developments related to derivatives. Oliverio is the Chair of AB’s Responsibility Risk Oversight Committee, and a member of AB’s Operational Risk Oversight Committee, Responsibility Steering Committee, and the Co-Chair of AB’s Women’s ERG Synergy. Before joining the firm in 2015, she worked in the legal department of Barclays, where she was a member of the Prime Brokerage Contract Negotiation Specialist Group. Oliverio began her career in the Counterparty Risk Solutions department of S3 Partners. She holds a BBA in finance from Pace University.
